Mela Teas is an online boutique tea retailer, based in California, offering unique single-origin tea, ranging from black, green, flowery, herbal, and spiced. Direct from the beautiful island of Sri Lanka, our Ceylon tea is harvested from a plantation in Southern Sri Lanka, adjacent to the Indian Ocean. Unlike high-grown teas, which thrive in cool mountainous regions, our low-grown teas, carry a rare quality, marked by the warm salted air of the sea.
We at Mela Teas believe in the power of tea – a universal drink that transcends geographical, cultural, and socioeconomic borders. Enjoyed by those from all walks of life, we believe tea is not only an experience of the palate, but also, one that contributes to overall health – body, mind, and soul.
